Hālau Wa'a Episcopal:
A hui of spiritual journeys

WHO WE ARE:
Hālau Wa'a Episcopal is an Episcopal mission and the Diocese of Hawaiʻiʻs newest church plant. We serve all of God's people living in West Oahu:  Kapolei, Ewa Beach, Makakilo, Koolina, and Kunia.

MISSION:  Steeped in the history and tradition of the Episcopal faith, Hālau Wa'a Episcopal is a hui of small group ministries calling to those that may not have been raised in a traditional faith community.

WA'A (SMALL GROUP) MINISTRIES:
The small groups engage in activities during the week that empower each member's individual spiritual journey.  By incorporating scripture and prayer with an activity, our souls are enriched by bringing God's word into our lives.

It is through prayer, scripture, and service to the people of West Oahu, that we share God's love in our lives.

OUTDOOR WORSHIP:
To remind us that our ʻāina and moana are sacred, Hālau Wa'a Episcopal worships outside.  On Sundays at 10am, the wa'a gather in prayer and Eucharist, lifting our voices together.

If you are hearing a call to reconnect your inner soul, learn more about who we are and what we are doing right here in West Oahu!  Join us this Sunday!!

We focus on small ministry groups, or wa`a.

Hālau Wa'a Episcopal is a hui, or collective, of spiritually focused small affinity groups that get together weekly. These spiritual groups might be likened to wa'a or canoes, on journeys of their own.

Currently, Hālau Wa'a Episcopal have wa'a focused on adult confirmation/leadership training, youth confirmation, bread making, hockey, kanikapila, and golf.  Initially a group of strangers, we now see friendships and community developing in the short amount of time the wa'a have met in-person prior to meeting solely on-line.

Add spirituality through a simple reading of scripture or prayer, and you now have the recipe for the wa'a of Hālau Wa'a Episcopal; a mode of spiritual transport, taking us on an even deeper journey into the world of God, and God’s world in us.

Each wa'a meets weekly, to live into community with each other through their chosen activity, on a mutually agreeable day and time.

On Sundays, the wa'a come together to celebrate the Living Word.  Learn more about Hālau Waa 'Episcopal weekly worship services.
